Miss Philadelphia is an ambassador for the city of Philadelphia and is celebrating 100 years of scholarship and service this 2021.
We just crowned our 100th-Anniversary Miss Philadelphia, Elaine Ficarra, a sophomore college student on May 1st, 2021. Elaine, along with the Outstanding Teen, have already been busy during their first few days on the job (Miss Philadelphia 2021 Media Highlights). Elaine advocates for her social impact initiative focused on suicide prevention titled “The World is Better with You in It”, an outreach program built on simple but live-saving conversations to assure our loved ones that we are there for them and that no one is alone.
As a Filipino-American, it is important to Elaine to utilize the platform and voice she is given to help Stop AAPI Hate.
